Application on bridges and structures
The construction SUPER-RAIL® Standard on Structures fulfils the specification class H2 of EN 1317-2. It combines the function of a guard rail system with the function of a parapet. Therefore the system is very economical since there is no need to install a separate handrail. In the case from an exchange of existing system, like single spaced guard rail, SUPER-RAIL® can be easily mounted onto the existing anchors.

The Construction
SUPER-RAIL® Standard on Structures is supplied with posts with base plates. The post spacing is 1.33 ms. By means of prefabricated anchor devices or chemical anchors the posts will be fixed on structures. The two transverse box beam profiles are bolted to the posts. The guard rail beam (A-profile or B-profiles available) is connected to the lower box beam profile by the deformation elements.

The System
The construction is hot dip galvanized and has an overall height of 1.05 ms. The width is approximately 0.50 ms. The horizontal elements have a length of 4.00 ms. The weight of the system is 67.00 kg/m. The system is tied to other systems like single spaced guard rail or concrete barriers by transitions with mechanical links.
