Freeways and motorways are increasingly used by heavy vehicles.
The guard rail system in water protection zones, which were installed many years ago, no longer meet modern standards and therefore offer very little protection in these sensitive areas.

The highest containment level in accordance with the European Norm EN 1317-2 makes a break-through of truck almost impossible.
